Coming home asks this:
tumble into the minute details
of books, paper or air.
Follow the wild thread,
into the saucers of brilliant snow,
the dark trees and dense brush.
Fall all the way in.

I bought a book on bookbinding when I was eleven, and I have been binding books ever since. Drawing, painting, and writing poems have always been in my life, too.

Strong connection to the place where I live has mattered to me ever since my parents bought an old farm here in Eaton when I was a kid. I take time to swim, paddle, x-c ski, run, garden, play squeaky fiddle…

My husband Dennis and I have sung with the informal group Pot Luck Singers for twenty years now! I opened my bindery in 1985, and started The Uphill House, my small publishing company, in 1998. Dennis and I live with our two sons on a hill overlooking the White Mountains.
